The new semester will begin in schools after the summer vacation.


Corona starts a new academic session after a summer vacation

The resolution issued by the education department said that with the resolutions dated February 4, 2020 and March 24, 2020, it was decided to start a new academic session in all schools from April. But due to the existing Corona epidemic problem, the new academic year will have to start as per the earlier i.e. summer vacation.

Exemption of teachers who are not on corona duty from going to school

The resolution further states that in order to control the global epidemic caused by the transmission of Corona virus, the state government and local bodies have assigned any task to the employees / officers of the state government and private, primary, secondary and higher secondary schools. No they won't have to come to school. But the staff assigned to the operation will have to strictly follow all the instructions given by the state government or local bodies. At the same time, the education and staff of private schools have also been exempted from going to school.

Mass promotion to students of 1st to 9th and 11th standard

The Gujarat government has decided to postpone the board exams of Std. 10 and 12 and has announced mass promotions for Std. 1 to 9 and Std. 11 students. This is the first time that mass promotion has been given to students for the second year in a row. Chief Minister Rupani said the decision on the new dates of the board exams would be taken after a review on May 15.
